IQOO 9, and iQOO 9 Pro 5G, launched! Pricing, Review and My Opinion.

Hello Everyone, this is Rohit. So today, on 23rd feb 2022, iQOO, which is a subsidiary of ViVO has launched its two devices in India, that are, iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro 5g.

These phones have been launched in India keeping in mind the gaming centric users of India.
So. Today we are going to talk about both the devices, iqoo 9 and iqoo 9 pro and see how both fares with the price tag and as well as the competition.

DISPLAY:

In terms of display, the iqoo 9 comes with a 6.56 inches full hd plus Amoled display (16.66 cm) with a resolution of 1080x2376 pixels, and with a pixel density of 398ppi. The device gets a punch-hole display at the centre. This device display can achieve a brightness upto 1200 nits. Which is accompanied by a HDR10 plus certified display and lastly the device supports a 120 hertz refresh rate display.
Wheras the iqoo 9 pro 5g comes with a slightly bigger display measuring 6.78 inches (17.22 cm) 2K Amoled display with a resolution of 1440x3200 pixels and with 508ppi pixel density. This device can achieve a peak brightness of 1500 nits, also it comes with 120 hertz refresh rate, and it is a HDR 10 plus certified display, which makes content more appealing, when we play hdr videos.
So, here iqoo 9 pro clearly justifies that why it is called the pro version, with more peak brightness than the iqoo 9 (that is 300 nits more than iqoo 9), more pixel density and a greater resolution display which makes a good sense at this price point but they could have provided a 2k display in iqoo 9 also.

DESIGN:

Starting with the iqoo 9, the design of the device looks great. Height of the device is around 159.1mm, width is 75.1mm and thickness is 8.6mm. The device weighs around 200 grams. The phone comes in 2 colours, Legend and Alpha.
Talking about the iqoo 9 pro, the device in terms of looks is identical to the iqoo 9 only the camera module looks different. This device has a height of 164.8mm, width is 75.2mm and thickness is around 8.8mm and this phone weighs around 204 grams. This phone also comes in same colours as the iqoo 9 that are, Legend and Dark cruise.
Both the the devices have slight changes considering the sizes of the devices. Both has a central punch hole notch. In terms of looks andw
 design both devices look awesome.

CAMERA:

The iqoo 9 comes with a triple rear camera setup, having three cameras, Primary camera, ultra wide angle camera and 2x optical zoom camera. The primary camera is a 48 megapixel shooter, ultra wide is 13 megapixel shooter and the 2x optical zoom is also a 13 megapixel shooter camera. The main camera does have OIS support which could produce less shaky videos. It also gets a 16 megapixel single front camera setup with screen flash and could record videos upto 30fps at full hd.

Now, talking about the iqoo 9 pro, this device also comes with a triple rear camera setup, its primary camera is of 50 megapixel, also it gets a second camera of 50 megapixel that is the ultra wide camera and its third camera is of 16 megapixel which is a telephoto camera which provides 2.5 times optical zoom and upto 30 times digital zoom. Also, most importantly it could record 8k videos at 30fps. This device also has dual led flash setup at its backback and in the front it gets a single 16 megapixel selfie shooter camera, which could record videos at 30fps in full hd.

According to me both the devices offer a great camera setup, specifically the ultra wide cameras, which would help in capturing great photos. But the telephoto cameras should have been better and be providing more optical zoom at least upto 5x !

PERFORMANCE:

Now, comes the important part of this phone that is the performance of the device.
The device iqoo 9 comes with a Snapdragon 888 plus processor which is a great processor. It is an octa core 3 Ghz processor. It is based on 5nm fabrication and it works on 64 bit architecture. In graphics department, this device gets a Adreno 660 GPU which could provide a great gaming experience.
Now let's talk about the iqoo 9 pro this device comes with Snapdragon 8th gen 1 processor, which is the best processor in Android segment today. It is also a 3Ghz powerful octa core processor which is based on 4nm and it works on 64 bit architecture. And in graphics department this device gets a Adreno 730 GPU, which is a beast GPU for gaming performance.

BATTERY and STORAGE:

In the battery department, the iqoo 9 comes with a 4350mah battery which supports 120 watt flash charging and could charge 100 percent battery in 18 minutes, as claimed by the company.
Whereas in the iqoo 9 pro, we gets a battery of 4700 mah which supports 120 watt flash charge support and it could be fully charged in just 20 minutes.
In my opinion both the devices have slight lesser amount battery capacity as we can see both the devices have great display and powerful processor which could consume more juice no matter if its an amoled display also. They could have provided more capacity batteries considering the thickness of both the phones.

NETWORK and CONNECTIVITY:

In this department, both the devices are exactly same both have dual nano sim support and supports dual volte. Both the devices supports 5g but the network have not yet rolled out in india.
Both devices have Bluetooth 5.2 support, have NFC and comes with GPS A glonass.

OS and SENSORS:

Both the devices runs on Android 12 and runs on custom skin, Funtouch OS.
In sensors department, both devices have on display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, light sensor and proximity sensor.
