On 11th of february 2022, Xiaomi has finally launched Xiaomi 11T Pro, a successor to Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro which was launched way back earlier in the month of september 2020, which was a solid device regarding its spec sheet, performance and price tag!
This time the phone drops the 'Mi' branding and solely comes under the brand name xiaomi and now called as 'Xiaomi 11T Pro'.
Pros
•144Hz refresh rate
•108MP main camera on the rear side
•clear stereo speakers
•5000mAh battery with 120W Fast Charging
•Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and 8GB RAM
•5G ready
Cons:
•average low light selfie camera
Display :
Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro 5G comes with a 6.67 inch Amoled display having 395 ppi pixel density and 2400 x 1080 screen resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate and also offets 480Hz touch sampling rate. This device comes with 10 bit display which offers brightness upto 1000 nits and the display of the device itself is HDR 10 plus certified and also we get widevine L1 certification in device through which we can stream content in full hd. This devices offers very good display but as we have to see that how this display performs in real life because Xiaomi phones display produces not very eye pleasing colours and sometimes do have some other issues also.
Camera:
On the rear side, Xiaomi has placed a 108MP f/1.75 Primary camera, 8MP f/2.2 Ultra Wide Angle Shooter, a 5MP f/2.4 Macro camera along with Dual Colour LED Flash. There is a 16MP f/2.45 Selfie Shooting Lens on the front. The camera. The phone supports 8k video recording and it can record HDR videos at 4k. But the cameras setup didn't impress me much because the device is launched at a price of 40k not 15 to 20k which means they should have included a telephoto camera at this price point and also the ultra wide camera is average it should be around 16 megapixel, and lastly the macro camera could be scrapped if they had given a telephoto camera (because telephoto camera can do the work of both as we have seen in oneplus phones).
Processor :
Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro 5G is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and an Octa-core processor consisting of Kryo 680, which works at a maximum speed of 2.84GHz. The device also had a Adreno 660 GPU which comes coupled with the processor and Gives an amazing and smooth gaming experience.
Battery :
The device is packed with 5000mAh Li-Polymer type non-removable battery, compatible with 120W Fast Charging capability that powers up the device.
RAM and Storage:
The Device comes in three configurations, the base variant comes with 8gb of ram and 128gb storage at a price of Rs. 39,999 , whereas the variant with 8gb ram and 256gb storage comes at a price of 41,999 and last, the third one with 12gb ram and 256gb of storage comes at a price point of 43,999. The pricing is fair considering the specs and competition but still it could have been lower a bit, fitting all three variants under 40k.
Connectivity:
In connectivity department this device is having the facilities like 5G, USB Type-C, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.2 and A-GPS with GLONASS.
Features:
The device comes with ufs 3.1 storage and also with LPDDR5 ram but the storage is not expandable. Also, the comes with a infrared sensor that is placed at the top of the phone. The device has a protection of gorilla glass victus which makes the device scratch resistant.
Design:
In terms of design Xiaomi has really made a nice looking phone which we do not see its midrange segment devices, now talking about the device, the device offers great in hand feel to its users, its a premium looking smartphone with glass back and curved edges, its curved edges makes the device feel more comfortable in hand.
The device come in three colours, namely, Moonlight white, Meteorite Black and Celestial magic. meanwhile white and black looks more subtle but my favorite one is Celestial magic colour which looks very gorgeous.
The phone weighs around 204 grams but the weight of the device is very well distributed. Whereas the sides of the device are made up of plastic this is a common thing in xiaomi phones whether it is flagship or midrange.
The device is IP53 rated which makes the device dust and splash resistant, but this thing didn't impressed me much as considering the price point they should have gone for full waterproofing of the device and hence giving its IP68 protection!
Verdict:
The phone is good at the price range but some things could have been better such as in the cameras and waterproofing department of the phone and also Xiaomi's aggressive MIUI which kills apps running in background withing a second is a major drawback but rest all the things such as display, performance and design of the phone is good.
